Resides and works in Perth, Western Australia.
Suzanne is a full time professional painter and has been painting the Australian landscape since age eleven. She received her formal training as a mature age student at Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia. Suzanne migrated to Western Australia in the mid seventies. She has travelled extensively into Australia’s remote interior and makes regular extended painting trips to the North West of Western Australia, being particularly inspired by the rugged beauty of the Kimberley Region. Suzanne considers her intense love for the Australian landscape to be a vital element in her spiritual evolution as a painter. She describes her relationship with the land as ‘a passionate and on-going love affair.’
Her paintings are vibrant expressions of colour - rich in textures, layers and symbols.
Suzanne Lindhorst has had fourteen solo exhibitions, six of them internationally. She is represented in government, corporate and private collections in Australia, United Kingdom, Canada, USA, France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore.
Her work has been published in Australian and International art magazines.
